Brazil has the fifth largest population in the world. Brazil's population totaled 191 million in 2010, according to the Country's geographic statistics agency. The ratio of male to female population was 0.996:1, and the average life expectancy was 72.5 years, of which 68.82 years for males and 76.44 years for females. Brazil's population density is 58 people per square mile, but very unequal, population distribution and densely populated eastern coastal area, northwest in 26 states in the country, four states of southeast Pacific focused 44% of the population, but the amazon is the world's population density is one of the smallest area, less than a people per square kilometer.
