The most populous states are Sao Paulo state, Minas Gerais state and Rio DE Janeiro state with 46,289,000, 21,29,000 and 17,366,000 respectively. Roraima has the smallest population, 631,000.



There are 5,570 cities in China. The ten most populous cities were Sao Paulo, Rio DE Janeiro, Brasilia, El Salvador, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Curitiba, Recife and Goiania, with 12.33 million, 6.75 million, 3.06 million, 2.89 million, 2.69 million, 2.52 million, 2.22 million, 1.95 million, 1.65 million and 1.54 million, respectively. The city with the smallest population was Serra da Saudade, with a population of only 776.
