A surge in online shopping during the epidemic has made Mercado Livre the most valuable company in Latin America at $60.6 billion, according to Brazilian financial consultancy Economatica, overtaking giants such as Vale, Petrobras and Itau Unibanco, Brazilian media reported. Mercado Livre is up 108.95% on the Nasdaq stock Exchange so far this year.
